Gordon M. LeBlanc, Jr
Gordon M.
LeBlanc, Jr. is Chief Executive Officer of PetroSun based in
Scottsdale, Arizona and is a third generation member of the oil
and gas industry. Mr. LeBlanc has over thirty (30) years
experience as an oil and gas operator and consultant. Mr.
LeBlanc founded PetroSun, Inc in 2001 and is responsible for its
transition into the renewable energy sector. Driven to discover
new oil and gas reserves, Mr. LeBlanc expanded his base of
operations from the Ark-La-Tex region of the Gulf South to
Arizona, the Cooper-Eromonga Basin of Queensland, Australia and
the Canning Basin of Western Australia. PetroSun has scheduled
its exploration and development program to commence drilling
operations during August 2009 in the Holbrook Basin located in
Apache and Coconino counties of Northern Arizona. The primary
objective of the initial program is to establish commercial
production on approximates one million acres of private, state
and federal leases.
Mr. LeBlanc
also founded EnviroBac, Inc in 1988 for the research and
development of the commercial application of microbial products
within the food service and energy industries. Research in the
cultivation of bacteria and algae as feedstock for biofuels was
later initiated in 1998. Lastly, Mr. LeBlanc, EnviroBac and
PetroSun focused on the open pond system and proprietary
harvesting, dewatering and extraction technologies related to
microalgae as the pathway to commercialization of algae as a
biofuel feedstock. The present business model allows for the
modification of existing commercial catfish, shrimp, crawfish
and rice ponds for the cultivation of algae (microalgae and
macroalgae). The farm pond owners will be compensated with a
royalty from production of algal oil and algae biomass. Duckweed
will also be cultivated in separate operations for its protein
value. Lastly, Mr. LeBlanc is the Co-Founder and Vice Chairman
of the 501-C3 children’s charity Every Kid Counts located in
Scottsdale, Arizona. He is also active with a group of dedicated
